The Gobi March is a 250-kilometer (155-mile) 7-day, 6-stage foot race, organised by RacingThePlanet. The course of the Gobi March takes competitors across a wide variety of terrains including dirt tracks, sand dunes, dry river beds, hills, villages and more.
The Gobi March 2012 will take place out of Kashgar. The race will start near a very small place called Gazi Village and end in Upal. The course will take competitors past Shipton’s Arch, locally known as Heaven’s Gate, a natural arch which is taller than the Empire State Building.
Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is the chosen charity by one of the competitors, Singaporean, Mr Koh Suan Lam.
