     Hapticus - "Eco-muter"
Hapticus, a company that plans to enhance the lives of people with special needs is looking for volunteers to be part of a pre –release implementation of their product, ‘eco-muter’. This would come in a form of a smart phone application that would better connect commuters, who require assistance in transportation, and drivers, who are willing to volunteer them with their fleet services.

     Flair in the Air- Metta School students are flying high and reaching skies
The Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC)’s Kids Inclusive Sports Club (KISC) and the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) synchronized a Kids IN, Kite flying event at Marina Barrage on Thursday 5 April 2012. Alongside NVPC’s volunteers, 21 teenagers who defy intellectual disabilities (ID) from Metta School participated in the event. The teenagers also toured around Marina Barrage’s gallery. Initially what awaited the kite enthusiasts were pitter-patter raindrops. However, shortly after, sheets of sun ray blanketed marina barrage, enabling the kites to kick off.

     Team ExtraOrdinary crowned third
Singapore, 10 April 2012- Singapore’s team ‘ExtraOrdinary’ footballers were crowned third in the AFC Dream Asia Cerebral Palsy Tournament UAE (United Arab Emirates) 2012. Conversely the footballers didn’t only defy cerebral palsy, but five other countries in which Iran took the lead, Australia as the runner-up, while Korea, UAE and Jordan staged fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

     Media Release: Disabled Athletes Spurred On to Run Energizer Singapore Night Trail Challenge
Para-shuttler Tay Wei Ming, Adam Kamis known as the one armed-runner and hearing impaired athletes William Chew and Andrew Siew will join more than 3,600 participants for the second edition of the Energizer Singapore Night Trail. This year the Open Category includes a night trail over the distances of 6, 12 and 18km and a 3km obstacle course. For the Parent and Child Category they get to choose between a 1.5km or 3km obstacle course.
