Cambodia & Philippines emerged victors on Day 3

Cambodia & Philippines emerged victors on Day 3 of 1st ASEAN Wheelchair Basketball Championship (2003)

In yesterday’s match (Monday, 13th October) played at the Jurong East Sports Complex, Cambodia edged out Malaysia 43 – 26 in a pulsating match which saw Malaysia’s challenge wilted towards the last quarter of the game. Host country Singapore put on a brave and resilient fight before eventually losing 48 – 35 to the team from the Philippines.

The Championship (from 9th to 15th October 2003) is organized by the Singapore Disability Sports Council and sanctioned by the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) and the ASEAN Para Sports Federation. A total of 50 wheelchair basketball players from the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore are competing in this Championship.

Matches scheduled for today (Tuesday, 14th October) are:
5.00pm – Cambodia Versus Thailand
7.00pm – Malaysia Versus Philippines
