Jackie Chan, Andy Lau sing at one-year countdown to 2008 Paralympics

"We Are Ready!”

So says world famous movie star Jackie Chan as the actor was in Beijing recording “We Are Ready!”—the theme song of the one-year countdown to the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.

Chan said, “Speaking loud of this sentence (We Are Ready) on behalf of the Chinese people holds many great meanings. Being part of it (the Games) in and of itself is a great pleasure and honor.

Superstars Jackie Chan and Andy Lau, together with other celebrities, sang at Thursday’s (Sep 6) evening show to mark the one-year countdown to Beijing’s 2008 Paralympic Games.

According to Sohu Entertainment, the celebration turned out to be a touching and passionate occasion as Jackie Chan and Andy Lau joined hands and singing with handicapped friends on stage.

Andy Lau was first, singing with Paralympic athletes his new song ‘Everyone Is No. 1’, with lyrics written by himself. While Jackie Chan brought the show to an exciting close with the theme song of the Beijing Olympic Countdown - ‘We Are Ready’.

Other celebrities who showed up included Joey Yung, Zhou Bichang, pop duo Yu Quan.
