The 13th Paralympic Games will be held in Beijing, China, from 6 to 17 September 2008. This premier sports event, which immediately follows the Olympics, will play host to over 4,000 elite athletes from all over the world.
We are delighted to announce that Singapore will be sending a contingent to participate in athletics, swimming, equestrian and possibly, sailing.
2008 is expected to be a particularly special year for Singapore, as our Paralympic hopefuls may win their very first Paralympic medal for Singapore.
It is our great pleasure to invite all media to help showcase Singapore’s participation in the Games.
SDSC is the main accreditation contact for written, photographic and internet journalists, while accreditation for non-rights holding radio and television broadcasters are handled by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). Accreditation for rights-holding broadcasters will be handled by the 2008 Beijing Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (BOCOG) and the host broadcaster.
In order to secure accreditation for your agency, please convey your interest (by numbers), appointed representative for accreditation and list of equipment by completing Annex B and C. Rightsholding broadcasters should apply for accreditation with IPC using Annex D.
Kindly return all completed forms by 9 December 2007 to ensure the procurement of accreditation promptly.
