Register for Archery (Beginner and Intermediate)
Do you think you can shoot an apple on someone’s head, if you were asked to?
Regretfully, we won’t be able to teach you how to perform this stunt (we lack the volunteery victim) but we can teach you the proper steps to aim and shoot, and hopefully, groom you for future regional and international competitions.

Archery Training Programme (Beginner/Intermediate)
- Date/Day:
- 2 Sep 2006 (Sat), 2 pm onwards
- Venue:
- Chestnut Drive Secondary School
- Attire:
- Loose, comfortable top & bottom. Club colour/attire is fine. (Training will be done outdoors.)
- Items to bring:
- 1. WATER. The more the better.
- 2. Spare clothing.
- 3. Personal towel.
- 4. 2 ball point pens - one blue, one red
- 5. Umbrella
- 6. Personal archery equipment (if applicable)
- All equipment will be provided for training. Prospective archers are expected to make their own way to the archery site.
Eligibility
The Archery programme is open to:
a. Athletes with Physical Disabilities (includes spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, amputee and les autres) in three functional classes:
- Archery Standing (ARST)
Archers in the Standing Class have no disabilities in the arms. The legs show some degree of loss of muscle strength, co-ordination and/or joint mobility. Archers in this class may choose to compete sitting in an ordinary chair with their feet on the ground or standing.
- Archery Wheelchair 1 (ARW1)
Archers in the ARW1 class have a disability in their arms and legs (tetraplegia). They have limited range of movement, strength and control of their arms and poor or non-existing control of the trunk. The legs are considered non-functional, due to amputation and/or similar limitations of movement, strength and control. They compete in a wheelchair.
- Archery Wheelchair 2 (ARW2)
Archers in the ARW2 class have paraplegia and limited mobility in the lower limbs. These athletes require a wheelchair for everyday use and compete in a wheelchair.
