“Sailing takes me away
To where I’ve always heard it could be
Just a dream and a wind to carry me
Soon I will be free…”
(Lyrics from ‘Sailing’ by ‘N Sync)
The song paints a rather romantic picture, but sailing really takes more than a dream and the wind. At least if you have a destination in mind, and not want to worry that you’ll end up at some remote island with only a volleyball.

With a successful training programme, the Singapore Disability Sports Council and Sailability Singapore have helped many disabled persons uncover their abilities through disability sailing. As a continuing effort to allow more disabled persons to experience the excitement of sailing and the liberating sensations of the sea and wind, a free basic disability sailing course will begin soon for aspiring disabled persons. More details are as follows.
