Automobile Association’s Centennial Charity Gala Dinner

Help the charities by coming to Automobile Association’s Centennial Charity Gala Dinner.

In commemoration of AA’s 100th Anniversary this year, the Association has pledged to raise funds for the charitable and not-for-profit organisations that it has adopted for 2007.  They are: Ang Mo Kio Community Care Network, Assisi Hospice, Bishan East CCC Bursary, Welfare and Community Fund, Dover Park Hospice, Ling Kwang Youth Centre, Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), National Arthritis Foundation, National Crime Prevention Council, National Safety Council of Singapore and Singapore Disability Sports Council.  AA aims to raise a total of half a million dollars during its centennial year to support this broad spectrum of meaningful charitable and social causes. 

The AA Centennial Charity Gala Dinner will be held on Friday, 16 November 2007 at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore.  The Association hopes to raise $250,000 for its beneficiaries through this dinner, which will be graced by His Excellency Mr S R Nathan and Mrs Nathan.

Besides a delectable spread of fine food, guests at the dinner will be treated to world-class entertainment by Kane Alexander, one of Australia’s most sought after young performers.  Kane has performed many lead roles on the Australian stage including Bobby Strong in Melbourne Theatre Company’s Urinetown, Claude in the Australian production of Hair, Willard in Footloose, the Scarecrow in the Sydney season of The Wizard of Oz and Billy Crocker in Anything Goes.  His outstanding performance in the 10th Anniversary production of Les Miserables, South Pacific, Angry Penguins, and Only Heaven Knows won him many accolades!
