Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is looking for designers to help launch a microsite for the ASEAN Para Games 2007.
The ASEAN Para Games is the equivalent of the SEA Games, but it is specially held for people with disabilities. Singapore will be sending about a contingent of 100 athletes to the Games, which will take place in January 2008.
We hope to launch the microsite for this Games by end October. The site information has already been determined.
Duties and responsibilities of designer(s):
- To design the website templates, flash animation displays
- To ensure that the website is disabled-accessible
- To put up all information on website between October to January
After the initial information upload, the designer can continue to help SDSC upload other information periodically (e.g. stories, news releases, results and medal tally) or teach a staff of SDSC.
How you will benefit:
- Place your designer credit on website
- Your designs will be seen by the mass public, as we foresee much traffic to the website by athletes and their families as we get nearer to the competition
- The website will also be visited by media for information. Use this opportunity to impress and build your portfolio
- The website will be linked to SDSC’s main website and Team Singapore’s website. This will greatly increase the traffic, meaning that your designs will be seen by many more people, even internationally. (Many foreign countries surf by SDSC’s official website for the latest news in disabled sports.)
- Serve the community with your skills. The SDSC is a charity sports body serving the disabled in Singapore.
- Earn some money for your hard work. We are willing to pay S$500 to S$1000 for the right person/group (depends on level/period of commitment and portfolio).
