Charity Premiere of “Speed Racer”

The Charity Premiere of ‘Speed Racer’ was held on 6th May 2008 at Golden Village VivoCity. The monies from the ticket sales were channeled to the Singapore Disability Sports Council’s programmes and initiatives to bring sports to the disabled community.

The event saw many corporate sponsors support as well as individual supporters who pledged their tickets to our beneficiaries. The beneficiaries were thrilled when they knew there were sponsored tickets up for grabs to be the first to catch the premiere of Speed Racer’ in Singapore.

Supported by Golden Village, supporters were treated to the premiere of ‘Speed Racer’ a highly action packed movie for all ages. Rain, the Korean heartthrob was also featured In the film and thrilled the Rain fans in Singapore who were highly supportive of this premiere.

The event was a success and attracted about 1000 supporters. The event was graced by Guest of Honour, Mrs Iswaran. The supporters also had a chance to mingle with our Paralympic athletes and have a firsthand view of the different sports equipment for people with disabilities which was showcased at the foyer area outside the GV Max cinema hall.
