The Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is the national sports body for the promotion and development of disability sports. We provide a wide range of disability sports programmes and are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as:
Executive Director
Reporting to: The President and Executive Committee
Responsible for the effective administration and management of the council’s activities, sports and educational programmes. Oversees Administration and Finance, Corporate Communications, Sports Development, Community Outreach and Education departments.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Without limiting the generality of the above)
- To plan, direct, control and coordinate the development and promotion of disability sports in Singapore and to further the goals, objectives, and policies as laid down by the Council.
- To promote the interests, and image of the Council including assuming overall responsibility for its publicity, publications, marketing and communications and fund raising projects.
- To assume overall responsibility for and to ensure that programmes and initiatives objectives are met.
- To oversee the effective administration of the council and ensure that meetings, financial reporting and programme updates are delivered to the respective committee chairpersons in a timely manner.
- To plan and undertake yearly budgetary planning and to be responsible for maintaining Council Expenditure within a given budget.
- To be the key contact person between the Council and other related organizations and ministries.
REQUIREMENTS
- Has a degree or relevant working experience in sports management
- Five years management experience in a leadership role within the sports Industry
- Strong team building and staff development skills
- Has excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment and under pressure
