After months of rigorous trials and selections, 41 athletes were finally shortlisted to represent Singapore at the Far East and South Pacific Games for the Disabled (FESPIC) 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - equiivalent of the Asian Games.
In 2002, Singapore brought home 3 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals. In 2006, from 25 Nov to 2 Dec, Singapore will be participating in six sports - athletics, boccia, bowling, sailing, lawn bowl and swimming.
How many medals do you think Singapore will bring back this time?
To bring these potential winners back to Singapore, a total of $120,000 is needed to cover the costs of transportation, logistics, training and development, medical support and accommodation.
Your participation in the International Torch Relay Run (Singapore leg) and/or Sailing Regatta can play an important role in realizing these able-disabled’s aspirations and hard work. Join us on 4 Nov.

Event Programme
7:30am Launch of Torch Relay Run at Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI). Passover of torch from China to Singapore.
11:00am End of Torch Relay Run at Merlion Park. Start of Reception.
11:20am Wheelchair Dancing performance by D’Passion Wheelchair Dance Group
11:30am Speech by Mr Tan Ju Seng, President of SDSC
11:40am Launch of Sailing Regatta
12:10pm Hip Hop Dance performance
12:20pm Prize Giving & Photo taking
12:40pm Mr Tan to pass torch over to Chef-De-Mission, Ms Nancy Chia, who will then travel to Changi Sailing Club.
1:10om Ms Nancy Chia and selected sailors will sail to Pasir Gudang and pss torch over to Malaysia.
1:30pm Sailors & Mr Wong sail from Changi Sailing Club to Malaysia to pass torch.
For Registration
Individuals/Friends/Families have a chance to participate in the Torch Relay as torchbearers with a min. donation of S$100 per pax.
