The Sports Award Night is an annual award ceremony held by SDSC, since 1996, to recognise and honour individuals and teams who have brought glory to Singapore over the past year. This function also serves to acknowledge how these nominees and award recipients have overcome their physical and mental disabilities to reach the pinnacle of sporting achievements, through sheer determination, courage and grit.

There are several categories which are open for athletes’ nomination: Sportsman of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, Sportsboy of the Year, Sports Girl of the Year and Team of the Year. Coaches can also be nominated for the Star Coach Award.

Each of the award recipients will receive prize monies, a trophy and a certificate of achievement. The rewards will serve as a motivation for these athletes to continue to perform well at various regional and international competitions, as well as spurring others to improve their marks.

Besides the athletes and coaches who will be in the limelight, this function will also be a networking session between our stakeholders, working partners and supporters, whilst providing them an opportunity to witness the outcome of their support and contributions.
