Following the camp in March, SDSC will be organizing another Sports Camp at the end of 2008 to reach out to those who have missed out the opportunity the first time.
The camp aims to increase the awareness of disability sports among young Singaporeans, by exposing them to sports in a recreational manner. During the camp, they will be introduced to various sports through demonstrations, before an actual practical try-out.
SDSC hopes to leverage on the Sports Camp to reach out to more youths, thereby not only encouraging them to pursue healthy lifestyles, but also support others who are involved in such activities.
Family members, peers and friends are also encouraged to participate, as familiarity boosts confidence.
