20 May 2006 (Sat)
Co-Curricular Activities Branch (CCAB) Swimming Complex
9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Each year, aspiring junior swimmers gather at this event to contend for the much-coveted national titles, fearlessly battling against junior elite swimmers training under the Singapore Disability Sports Council’s swimming programme.
This year, the tension builds as each swift swimmer strives for honours under the first-ever SPH Foundation National Junior Swimming Championship.
This is the first year the Singapore Press Holdings Foundation is sponsoring the Junior Athlete Development Programme in Swimming, and the National Junior Swimming Championship is one of the highlights under this programme. It is one of the key avenues to select the best junior swimmers for the Singapore Sports School and to spot other talented amateurs to enter into the national training regime.
Eligibility
1. Junior elite swimmers under the SDSC’s training program OR
2. Junior swimmers with a disability from other schools and organisations.
Participants must be 18 years old or below.
