Learn to Play

New to disability sports? Try out a disability sport at introductory programmes run by SDSC or our partner organisations. Consisting of theory and practical components, our (Learn to Play) LTP programmes (6-8 sessions) are run by trained instructors and coaches and you will learn fundamental skills required for the sport. Participants from all ages and all disability groups are welcome to join – all it requires is some adaptation and you taking the first step.

Not ready to jump in just yet? Take a self assessment tool to find out which disability sports you are suitable for based on your interests and impairment groups.

Set up your own Community

Interested to share your love for disability sports with the community? We’d love to partner you to introduce disability sports to more people. There are some initiatives and grants that you can apply for in order to do so. We’d love to chat.

Learn to Compete

Ready to take it to the next level? At this stage, you are ready to commit to attending training sessions to improve one’s skill levels. As athletes, it is key to spar with others, hone competitive skills and learn about the rules of the sport. There is greater focus on your technique and preparing you to be competition-ready.

Find out about the different disability sports that are available in Singapore on our website. #Didyouknow The two Paralympic sports that have no Olympic counterparts are Boccia and Goalball.

Competition Development

The next step will be for you to take part in national competitions or national trials. Talent identification takes place here and with a good performance, you might just be talent-spotted or nominated to represent Singapore at an international competition or at the Major Games.

High Performance

You are an experienced athlete! You have a structured training programme and train regularly to achieve your goals to represent Singapore with pride. We will cheer you on as you represent Singapore at an international competition, world championships or at the Major Games.
